An Art Deco ceramic vase hand decorated with a frieze of fantastical birds in black on an orange high lustred glaze. Incised signature to base Jacquet.

- Paul Jacquet (1883 - 1968) was a French ceramicist who created his own atelier circa 1913. He exhibited and won a gold medal at the Expostion Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes, Paris in 1925
He produced pieces for Primavera, the design atelier of Parisian department store Au Printemps, as well as collaborating with the Union des Artistes Modernes.
His work is represented at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, along with other important museum collections.
