Garry ‘Gaston’ Stylianou has been an antique dealer for over 25 years, specialising in French decorative arts from the late 19th Century to the mid 20th Century.

He studied Fine & Decorative Arts in London and Paris then worked briefly at The Victoria & Albert Museum, during a special exhibition, before returning home to Australia.

For the last 15 years, Garry operated the successful Armadale Antique Centre in Melbourne, which housed over 40 independent antique dealers.

Now embarking on a new phase selling online and exhibiting at antique fairs around Australia, Garry has created the ‘Une Belle Chose’ (A Beautiful Thing) website to showcase a carefully curated collection of French & European antiques & decorative arts with an emphasis on French Art Glass. The works of Emile Gallé, Daum Frères, Charles Schneider and René Lalique are represented here among other notable masters of the French decorative arts in glass, ceramics and bronze.

Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep…"
