A rare figure of an expressive Pierrot figure with his hands thrust into his trouser pockets. Cast in 'fonte d'art' - a unique alloy developed by the foundry of Max Le Verrier as an alternative to bronze - and decorated in a green patina. Mounted on a stepped variegated green marble base. Signed *Le Verrier* in the metal.
