A rare combination of night light & pocket watch holder modelled as a pelican with an open beak, Cast in 'fonte d'art' - a unique alloy developed by the foundry of Max Le Verrier as an alternative to bronze - and decorated in a deep green patina. Mounted on a variegated green marble base. Original bakelite globe holder. Signed *Le Verrier* in the metal.
