An early Le Verre Francais table lamp by Charles Schneider. The adjustable gooseneck polished bronze base cast with an Art Nouveau floral & foliate foot. The bell shaped cameo glass shade with a stylised design of figs. Signed "au berlingot" with an embedded candy cane rod in the colours of the French flag.

• Newly rewired to Australian standards.

The 'Berlingot' signature was used between 1918-1921 which was a small piece of red, white and blue glass cane - the colours of the French flag - set into the glass as a patriotic gesture at the end of WWI.
