A rare Austrian Art Déco gilt bronze figure of a nude with bobbed hair, holding a large bouquet of roses. Mounted on a white onyx base / dish. Signed 'Lorenzl' in the bronze.

*Josef Lorenzl (1892 – 1950) was an Austrian sculptor of the Art Deco period. Lorenzl produced many bronze and chryselephantine sculptures usually of female figures with long, elegant arms and legs. His sculptures were signed with various signatures such as "Enzl", "Lor", "R. Lor", "Renz", "Renzl" or fully as 'Lorenzl' The large majority of Lorenzl's figurines were typically mounted on to onyx bases.
CONDITION: Very good with general wear to gilded patina.
