A decorative gilt bronze urn finely modelled with garlands and panels of Classical figures. Signed 'Joé Descomps' and ' editors mark 'Etling, Paris'.

• Joé Descomps was born Joeseph Cormier (1869-1950) was a French sculptor working in Paris. His earlier works were Classical / Academic in style but in the 1920s he adopted an Art Déco style for which he is most noted. Many of his works were edited & produced by Etling et Cie.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with marks & wear commensurate with age.
