Jacques Adnet - 'Colombe'
An Art Deco ceramic figure of a dove decorated in an ivory coloured craquelure glaze. Impressed mark ADNET. Original retailer's label to underside.

This model was exhibited at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes held in Paris in 1925. It was exhibited in the pavillion of 'La Maîtrise', the design atelier headed by Maurice Dufrène for Parisian department store,Galeries Lafayette.
Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French architect & Art Deco/ Modernist designer and an icon of French decorative arts.
