A rare Art Déco bronze medallion commemorating the centenary of the Institut Historique , which later became known as the Société des Études Historiques. The obverse depicting Minerva, the Roman Goddess of Wisdom. The reverse inscribed with the Latin phrase "TESTIS HISTORIA POSTEROS MONET": meaning "History is a witness that warns future generations". With original suedette presentation box.
