Created by sculptor Lucille Sevin for the Paris gallery of Edmond Etling et Cie. Moulded mark Etling, France.

*The imagery most likely relates to the Greek mythological figure of Almathea who is associated with carrying a goat across her shoulders.

** After WWII when the firm of Etling et Cie ceased to exist, Marius Sabino appropriated the mould for this figure then produced it in a smaller size at 18cm. It is clearly marked Sabino'.
