Daum, Nancy - Coupe 'Ophrys Abeille'

A fine and rare pate de verre cameo glass bowl with a lobed rim. The mottled white ground graduating to a vitrified powdered violet and featuring engraved cameo & polychrome enamelled decoration of ‘Bee Orchids’ with four spiderwebs hung between the orchid branches. The spiderwebs are very fine & intricately cut.
Signed 'Daum, Nancy' in cameo.
