A rare pair of silvered metal Art Déco bookends modelled in the form of Pharaoh's heads. Mounted on Potoro marble bases. Signed in the metal 'Charles'.

French, circa 1920s.

N.B. 'C.Charles'is most likely a pseudonym as not much information is available on this sculptor. Much of his work was edited by Editions Max Le Verrier in Paris, as well as other bronze foundries.
