A rare Art Déco bronze sculpture of a striding bear decorated with a rich brown patina and mounted on a rectangular Potoro marble base. Signed Bourcart in the bronze. French, Circa 1920.

*The name "Bourcart" appears on many small format bronzes of animals & birds. An internet search of "Bourcart" reaveals very little information on the sculptor. Often he is named either 'Gaston Bourcart'or 'Emile Bourcart'but no definitive details are available.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition with an old minor repair on back right corner of marble base
