Amphora - Hand Painted Bird Vase

A rare ceramic vase of globular form, gilt & hand decorated in enamels with a pair of birds among heavily impasted daisies. Printed backstamp 'RStK' for Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, impressed marks Turn, Amphora, Austria and Paris, 1900. RStK indicating this particular model was exhibited at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1900.

CONDITION: Excellent with minor wear to gilding at top rim.
